Cloud computing services, along with data centers, have now become one of the most important industries in the world. The primary reason behind the growth of the industry is down to the fact that almost all businesses now need these services and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the global leader.
AWS is now a vendor for some of the world’s biggest companies and naturally, it has had to set up operations in many countries across the world. Setting up data centers in other countries helps Amazon in providing better services to companies in the area and hence, it is not a surprise that it has set one up in Israel.
In a new development, Amazon announced today that it is going to set up its cloud infrastructure in Israel and the company also stated that it is going to use local servers to power it. Amazon has been setting up infrastructure across a range of geographies for quite some time and it is only natural considering the company’s sheer reach.
At this point, it has set up its cloud infrastructure in as many as 22 countries and Israel is its latest destination. The set up of the new cloud infrastructure in Israel is part of the company’s plans to set up the same in as many as 9 countries.
According to reports, the new center in Israel is going to power the company’s content delivery network CloudFront and needless to say; it is going to be a blessing for the company’s customers in Israel.

As of now, the companies in Israel are served by the data centers that are based out of Europe and with this new set up, AWS will be able to serve its Israel based customers better. The general manager of Amazon Web Services In Israel stated,
